In November 2010, he debuted as a vocalist of J SOUL BROTHERS III with the single "Best Friend's Girl".

In 2014, he made his debut as an actor in the movie "HOT ROAD" (Directed by Takahiro Miki). With this movie, he won Newcomer Award at the 39th Hochi Film Awards, Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award at the 69TH MAINICHI FILM AWARDS, Newcomer Award (Toshiko Minami Award) at the 24TH JAPAN MOVIE CRITICS AWARDS and New Actor Award at the 38th Japan Academy Film Prize, which was a great achievement for his movie debut.

He will play the lead role in a movie to be released in 2019.

In October 2015, he released his first photo essay "NOBODY KNOWS" which has sold more than 180 thousand copies.

As a Japanese celebrity guest, he was invited to "Dior HOMME 2017-2018 AW Paris Collection" held in Paris, France in January 2017 and "Dior HOMME 2018 SS Paris Collection" in June 2017. He gets a lot of attention in the fashion industry.

In July of the same year, he released his first digital single "WASTED LOVE" which marked the start of HIROOMI TOSAKA's solo project.

His first solo arena tour HIROOMI TOSAKA LIVE TOUR 2018 "FULL MOON" held from August 2018 had 23 shows in 11 cities around Japan and attracted 240,000 viewers.

He starred in movie "Yuki no Hana" released in February 2019. It was his first appearance in a love drama since the appearance in "HOT ROAD" 5 years ago. The song "BLUE SAPPHIRE" from his single "SUPERMOON" released on April 10 has been selected as the theme song of movie "Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire" opens in theatres in April.

After releasing a digital single "SUPERMOON ~Sen~" in July 2019,　he held his first overseas solo live show "HIROOMI TOSAKA Taipei Show 2019 SUPERMOON ~UNDER THE MOONLIGHT~" becoming the first LDH solo artist to do so. He also was appointed as the goodwill ambassador of Taipei's tourism and has been drawing a lot of attention as a solo artist.

From January to February 2020, he and Ryuji Imaichi held "LDH PERFECT YEAR 2020 SPECIAL SHOWCASE RYUJI IMAICHI / HIROOMI TOSAKA" dome tour with 9 shows in 3 cities.

In February 2021, along with the official launch of the project "CDL entertainment" produced by himself, he changed his solo artist name from HIROOMI TOSAKA to ØMI.

In May, he also released "ANSWER... SHADOW", his first EP under the name of ØMI.

In October, he released the digital single "ANSWER ... SHINE". The song "You (Prod. SUGA of BTS)" on this single was produced by SUGA from BTS. It topped iTunes Top Songs Chart in 42 countries and regions around the world, ranked 3rd on Billboard World Digital Song Sales Weekly Charts and entered the U.S. Billboard new chart #HotTrendingSong, making him the first Japanese to enter the new chart.

In February 2022, he released the album "ANSWER...". From the same month to April 2022, he held the arena tour "ØMI LIVE TOUR 2022 'ANSWER...'" with this album.

From June 2024, under the project titled "THE FUSION", a collaboration with SKY-HI was realized with the new song "Purple Pill feat. SKY-HI", marking the first release as a solo artist in about two years. In October of the same year, he released a collaboration song "Feel Gold feat. Tomohisa Yamashita" with Tomohisa Yamashita and in July 2025, he released the collaboration song "To be feat. Daichi Miura" with Daichi Miura. The EP "THE FUSION" which contains these collaboration songs was released in January 2026, and a 3-day concept live show was held at Makuhari Messe on 1/30, 1/31 and 2/1.

Moreover, in LDH's largest audition "iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~" held in 2022, he and HYBE LABELS JAPAN co-produced the girl group division. Taking this as an opportunity, he is currently focusing on production, with the aim of discovering and nurturing new girl groups.
